DISCO REVIEW : FUN -SOME NIGHTS

Fun es una banda norteamericana de indie-pop-rock que se han dado a conocer mundialmente con su segundo album ''Some nights'' , un album que refresca el panorama del rock en el momento mas apropiado , he aqui un analisis del disco tema por tema :

1-Intro :  Con solo oír este intro ya sabemos lo que nos espera , magnificas voces , con coros operísticos con armonías tan buenas que no se oían desde Queen , si es verdad que Queen son otro nivel , pero el parecido es evidente , además las voces son bastante buenas , no son Freddy mercury y compañia , pero se defienden muy bien.(9/10)

2-Some nights : De nuevo magnificas armonias , con un sonido muy Queen , ese cambio de ritmo de las voces operisticas a las melodias con piano recuerdan al clásico ''Bohemian rhapsody'' que ya es decir , de nuevo la voz del vocalista principal roza el sobresaliente recordando por momentos al gran Freddy mercury(salvando las grandes distancias) , todo esto unido con elementos indie-pop y una produccion medio electronica da lugar a un nuevo sonido. Reseñar el buen uso del autotune en este tema , para darle un efecto nuevo a la canción.(10/10)

3- We are young : La obra maestra del disco , y no exagero , solo una escucha de este tema es necesaria para darnos cuenta ante el clasico que nos encontramos , este tema sera recordado en el futuro como un clásico del Rock , el mejor estribillo rock en años , melodia perfecta , armonias y voces sobresalientes , etc... , todo esto con una producción fresca y épica , será sin duda de los mejores temas del año.Clásico instantáneo atemporal.(10/10)

4-Carry on : El baladón del disco , de nuevo tengo que mencionar a Queen( lo siento pero me es inevitable xD) , recuerda a cualquier tema de Queen de los 80's , magnifica melodia en el estribillo y perfecto acompañamiento de piano , el cambio de ritmo en el estribillo es sobresaliente tambien. Además el tema cuenta con un magnífico solo de guitarra que no es de esta época.(10/10)

5-It gets better : Vamos ahora con algo mas flojo , este tema en mi opinión no encaja en el sonido del disco , pero no esta tan mal del todo , aun asi recuerda a cualquier tema de un grupo punk-pop adolescente de principio de los 00's(Cosa que no tendria por que ser mala , pero que si lo comparamos con el resto del disco si lo es)(6/10)

6-Why Am I the one : Volvemos al disco , perfecto mediotiempo con buenisimas melodias , sobre todo en el estribillo , con un puente que introduce el estribillo con más fuerza , en general este tema recuerda al ''Back for good'' de Take that.(9/10)

7-All alone : Vayamos con otro gran tema , perfectamente indentificable por sus melodias claras y directas tanto vocales como instrumentales , lo mas destacable es el hook instrumental del principio.(8/10)

8-All alright : Decente tema de relleno , no esta mal , aunque realmente no aporta nada nuevo al disco , pero es agradable de escuchar.(6/10)

9-One foot: Vayamos ahora con uno de esos temas que no dejan indiferente , o te encanta o la odias , progresion de acordes que se repite constantemente , en mi opinion seria perfecto para ultimo single del disco , por su sonido novedoso.(7/10)

10-Stars: Este tema es el que baja la media del disco , un tema innecesario y totalmente intranscendente que parece de otro grupo o de otro disco , siete minutos con abuso del autotune(Un ejemplo de su mal uso) que se hacen larguisimos y que no tienen ningun orden ni patron , el peor tema del disco.(5/10)

11-Out on the town : Bonus track que podria ser un tema normal porque sigue el corte del disco , gran tema con buenas melodias y con armonias de gran nivel , en general muy buen tema.(7/10)

Pues esta ha sido mi crítica del disco , del que considero el mejor disco de lo que llevamos de 2012 , nuevo sonido de un grupo que nos trae un disco cargado de buenos temas y algun que otro futuro clásico. Espero que no haya podido ofender a ningún fan de Queen el parecido que he resaltado entre ambos grupos , de todas formas no es nada malo , que un grupo tan bueno como este imite tu sonido engrandece todavia mas a la mitica banda de los 80's , y que además es mi banda de Rock favorita.

Esta semana la lista tiene por primera vez en su historia un numero impar de temas , en concreto 51 , ya que se produce un hecho curioso , el numero 1 esta ocupado por dos temas , ambos temas samplean una misma voz la de la fallecida Etta james , con lo cual he decidido en homenaje a esa gran voz un numero 1 compartido de los dos hits que han usado su voz en ese verso , ''Good feeling'' de FloRida producido por Dr luke con Dubstep incluido y ''Levels'' de Avicii , esta era la sorpresa que anunciaba.
